'Round and Round We Go

Just tried adding an RSS feed to our Facebook Page. If this works it should dissolve into a neverending rabbit hole of clicking back and forth between our site and our facebook fan page until you melt away like the ending scene from any Indiana Jones movie. Fingers Crossed!

Don't Be A Stranger

Want to keep tabs on all the latest happenings here? So do I! That's why I had all those hidden cameras installed. . .

Facebook - So right off the bat. I am bad at this social networking thing, but if there is anything I am going to update, it's usually here. We try and post interesting tidbits from around the city and print world, as well as photos from our latest jobs and sometimes, the answers to some of life's many mysteries.

Twitter - 140 charecters isn't usually enough to contain my witty remarks or enraged rants, but I try and keep up here when I can.

Vimeo - I love videos of the screen printing process and I have been fortunate enough to have my friend Bob make a few for myself. We don't get to make them often, but when we do I can't stop watching them for like a week straight. Is that weird?

Tumblr - Tumblr is great because it gives me a chance to throw up a picture of something really cool we just printed without having to take the time to format it for the site, write a description, etc. Whenever I remember to have a camera handy around the shop I tend to get a bit Tumblr happy.

Google+ - I gotta be honest, I have no idea what I am doing here, but with the way I tend to miss the boat on these things, I figured it was better to sign up now and figure it out later. So basically, Watch This Space.

LinkedIn - This is a nice business to business connection. I'm on here but not very much, so if it takes me a while to accept your friend request or whatever they are called over there, I am not ignoring you.

Big Cartel - I have this dream of one day having the time to sit down and create a few designs of my own, throw them up in an online store and just be happy to have had the chance to exercize some of my creative energy. Until then however, this store is going to be empty.

Ok, I think that is all of them. I am trying to be better about updates and things like that, but until then, be greatful for what ya get you ingrates.

Meet Your Maker

Before we get going, I think I should take the time to introduce the Full Time Staff that help run this place and make all your dreams come true.

meandjes
This is me and my wife, Jesica (left, right respectivly) We do our best to run the show and make it look like we know what we are doing. Jesica's name only has 1 S in it. Don't get it wrong or she may flip a table.

greg

This tall drink of water is Greg. He has been with us the longest and he heads up our manual press. He's also in a band called Band Name

louis

Louis, Louis, Louis. What to say about Louis? Louis helps run the automatic press and helps keep everything moving. He is in a band called ape!

kate

If you call or email us, you most likely have to go through Kate first. Kate takes care of our customers and helps them place orders. She can also do lots of little jobs when we need her to, which is often. She is not in a band. Another thumbs up? Real original guys.

lloyd

Lloyd manages the incredibly chaotic shipping department and without him we wouldn't know what's coming or going (literally!) Lloyd is a very affectionate person and loves it when strangers hug him, so if you ever stop by our shop, say hi to Lloyd!

seth

The Man, The Myth, The Legend. Seth rules this Kingdom with an iron fist. Don't let his boyish good looks and charm fool you, he's a stone cold gangster, especially when it's nap time.

We also have a great support staff that is still working on their cheesy smiles and thumbs ups so they can one day be featured on the site. Keep at it boys!

A Modern Day Classic

Derisory Designs (2011) from Derisory Designs on Vimeo.

I might as well dive right into this new years resolution thing and post up a video shot by my good frind Robert Sweeney. It gives a great overview of the print process and what it takes to take a job from start to finish. Plus it's catchy as hell. Check out some more of our videos at our Vimeo page!

New Year, New Us

With 2012 rapidly approaching, we figured it was time to update this website to reflect the changes Derisory Designs has gone through in the past few years. What started as a small basement operation now is a real life business, with employees, taxes and everything! It's pretty amazing to see something you created grow and flourish before your eyes and I can't begin to explain how proud I am of all the people who have helped make this business what it is today. From our friends and family who have supported us in every way imaginable, Our staff who has put up with us as we have learned to become "employers" and our customers who have stuck with us through some growing pains, we greatly appreceate every single one of you. I'd also like to send a special thank you out to Joey Gordon at The Black Axe. This guy worked tirelessly and put up with all my annoying requests to build the website that we now call home.

My New Years resolution is to try and post in the blog more this time around. I want to try and talk about the successes and pitfalls of a growing company, the challenges we face in both the printing side as well as the actual business side of things and just generally point out some amazing things that other printers are doing these days. 2012 is going to be another crazy year for us, I hope you'll stick around for the ride.
